The Objectives of the Ladies Klub are:

  • To function primarily on a social basis in order to cultivate a closer friendship and interest among its members.
  • To stimulate interest in BPOE Lodge #309
  • To cooperate in all activities of BPOE Lodge #309 when requested to do so.

The Elks Ladies Klub #309 fiscal year runs from April 1 to March 31. Twenty percent of all monies raised during a fiscal year will be donated to charity. The charity organization must have a presence in El Paso and/or Teller counties and the monetary donation benefit the residents of El Paso and/or Teller counties. We have contributed donations to various organizations such as “Sarah’s Home”, “One Nation” and “KPC Respite Center”. We host many fundraisers throughout the year. Some of our fundraisers are our Spring Luncheon, Ice Cream Sundae Sales, Bake & Craft Sale and Shepard’s Pie Sale. We also help to support the Elks Lodge by raising funds to purchase equipment and provide renovations to the lodge.

A little history about our Ladies Klub: Seventy-seven years ago in 1946, the wives of the Elks wanted to help support the Lodge and started the Elks Wives Club. Over the years the Lodge and the Club have gone through lots of changes & back in 2016 the Wives Club was changed to Elks Ladies Klub to be more inclusive as you don’t have to be an Elks wife to be a member.

Membership Qualifications: Ladies of members of BPOE #309 and/or Ladies who are members of BPOE#309 are eligible for membership in this club. This membership may continue after widowhood. The surviving widows of members from other Elks lodges who were in good standing are also eligible for membership in this club. Pay $15 per year for membership dues.

Your generous gifts of your time and expertise are greatly appreciated. We provide and prepare a monthly luncheon the 3rd Saturday of the month for Korean War Vets, occasional Friday night dinners, social events and a Children’s Christmas party for our Lodge.

We encourage our lady Elk members and spouses of Elk members to consider joining our club and becoming more involved with our lodge. We have lots of fun, make friends and feel good about what we contribute.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much. Hellen Keller
